tachograph Calibration & lcv Installations
At Bridgemills we pride ourselves on being able to offer a 1st class service in all things tachograph.
As a DVSA approved tachograph centre since 1990, we have extensive experience and knowledge on the calibration and installation of tachograph systems to all types of vehicle.
Our engineers are trained to the highest exacting standards as required by DVSA with no job too difficult to complete.
Periodic Tachograph Calibrations
Digital tachographs must be calibrated every two years and analogue tachographs must be inspected and re-calibrated every two years.
If a vehicle undertakes any repair which affects the tachograph system, if the vehicle registration changes, and/or if an alteration to the circumference of the tyres changes, it must be re-calibrated straight away.
As an approved DVSA tachograph centre for over 30 years we offer a full calibration service with a “while you wait” service.
Ensuring that the tachograph system is calibrated correctly could be the difference between your company operating smoothly and your drivers breaking the law, so it’s vital to adhere to the correct regulations around calibration.
We stock a wide range of tachograph system parts and operate 3 fully functional rolling roads to ensure that we can carry out tachograph installations and calibrations for fleets in a timely manner, keeping your business on the road and fully operational.
New LCV Installations
Tachographs are most commonly associated with the largest vehicles on our roads, including heavy goods vehicles. Light commercial vehicles, on the other hand, generally don’t need a tachograph due to their gross vehicle weight being under the threshold of 3.5t.
This rule changes if you add a trailer and exceed 3.5t gross vehicle weight.
At Bridgemills, our expert team are specialists in the installation of new tachograph systems. Vans, 4×4’s, minibuses, horseboxes and electric buses we have seen them all.
If you just need advice or a full system installed, no job is too small or large for Bridgemills.
